Role Purpose

Reporting to the Childcare Manager or Team leader, you will provide excellent quality care and entertainment to children aged (5-11) years old with a variety of sports-focused activities in a safe and hygienic setting.

Responsibilities

From our teams, we expect an attitude whereby “nothing is too much trouble”. There will be an expectation to meet these responsibilities:

Plan and deliver an engaging and age-appropriate activity plan.

Provide a safe, hygienic and stimulating environment for all children.

Support by working with children five on occasions as needed.

Ensure that all guests benefit from the highest possible level of Scott Dunn service.

Keep efficient and clear written records of plans and routines.

Liaise with the wider team to ensure smooth operations.

Have a flexible and adaptable approach, ‘stepping in’ where necessary.

Duties

Plan and deliver a range of indoor and outdoor activities

Organise and take part in evening entertainment during peak times.

Provide a nutritious lunch and healthy snacks to the children in your care.

Ensure food is prepared according to the food hygiene policy.

Take care of club equipment to maintain its quality and function.

Communicate with parents throughout their stay regarding their child’s wellbeing.

Provide a degree of flexibility wherever possible to meet business needs.

Ensure all paperwork, records and accident / incident forms are completed correctly.

Travel to / work at other resorts if required.

Deliver an evening service for children 2 evenings a week, with entertainment followed by movie

Take part in a range of activities including wall climbing, high ropes and water sports.

Essential Experience

Experience working with groups of children

Experience in a sports / sports coaching related role

Capability to work in sole charge of children

Strong knowledge of safeguarding practice

Confident swimmer

Desirable Attributes

Paediatric first aid qualification

Childcare qualification

Sports coaching qualification

Physical education qualification (teaching)

Additional languages

Full clean driving license valid in the EU

Available for the Peak season (Mid-June to early September)

You must be a resident in Greece or have dual nationality to be employed.

Holders of EU passports are welcome to apply to work on a self-employed basis.

Please note that you will be required to hold a current criminal background check / disclosure and barring service check. If you do not have one, you will be required to obtain this prior to arrival in resort.
