Waterproofworld is a professional kitesurfing and wingfoiling centre located directly on Lake Garda, Italy.
For the 2027 season, we are offering four motivated candidates the opportunity to join our international team and develop from beginners into professional watersports instructors.
This is a full-season commitment, not a summer holiday.
You will become part of our daily school operations, contribute to the team and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop. In return, we invest in your training, practical experience and professional qualifications.
Your journey – 4 steps
1. Learn & Train
Start with intensive training in kitesurfing, wingfoiling, equipment handling, safety and boat operations. Develop your personal riding skills and become familiar with our centre.
2. Assistant Instructor
Work alongside experienced instructors, assist with lessons and gain practical teaching experience.
3. Develop into an Instructor
Take on increasing responsibility in our daily school operations while continuously improving your teaching abilities and personal riding skills in both sports.
4. Official VDWS Instructor Training & Examinations
In October 2027, we will host the official 10-day VDWS Instructor Training and Examinations for both Kitesurfing and Wingfoiling.
Our goal is for every Academy participant to qualify in both disciplines.
What we offer
- Professional training and mentoring throughout the season
- Official VDWS Kite and Wingfoil Instructor courses, with a combined value of €1,700
- Additional training-related expenses covered, approximately €800
- Accommodation in our unique waterfront staff house, directly at the watersports centre
- Meals provided
- Access to our watersports equipment for training and personal development
- Practical experience in a professional watersports school
- A financial allowance, with details provided during the selection process
The combined value of the official training and associated expenses is approximately €2,500, in addition to accommodation, meals, equipment use and practical training throughout the season.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for people who:
- Are available for the full season from April to October 2027
- Are genuinely interested in becoming professional watersports instructors
- Are motivated to learn, work and take responsibility
- Are confident swimmers and physically active
- Speak English confidently – English is essential
- Speak German or Italian – both are welcome additional languages
- Enjoy working with people and being part of an international team
- Are comfortable sharing accommodation with other team members
Previous watersports experience is welcome but not required. We are prepared to train the right candidates from the beginning.
Application process
We are selecting only four new Academy participants for 2027.
Applications must include:
- A recent photo
- A short introduction about yourself
- Your previous watersports or sporting experience
- Your motivation for becoming a professional instructor
- Confirmation that you are available from April to October 2027
- Your language skills
Applications without a photo or complete information will not be considered.
Applications are open until 31 December 2026.
Selected candidates will receive detailed information about the programme, working conditions and training requirements before a personal interview.
