Chalet Cook with Morzine Ski Chalets (MSC) This is a fantastic LAST MINUTE opportunity for you to work in one of our Catered Chalets in the beautiful resort of Morzine in France. If you are a passionate cook and looking to further your skills this winter then we would love to hear from you. We combine a warm and friendly atmosphere with exceptional catering and personalised service. Our aim is to give our guests the best chalet experience, a holiday of a lifetime, leaving them relaxed and rejuvenated.
Please note that you need to have an EU passport (Schengen area) to apply for this position.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all our guests benefit from the highest possible level of service
- Work closely with the head chef and Chalet Host
- Assist with menu design and planning
- Assist the head chef with shopping for food and domestic products for your chalet
- Assist with preparing and serving continental/cooked breakfast
- Bake a fresh cake and biscuits for afternoon tea
- Assist with preparing canapés and cooking an evening meal (6 days per week)
- Assist with preparing and serving children’s dinner if and when required
- Ensure that all guests’ dietary requirements are understood and catered for
- Ensure that your chalet and kitchen is always clean and tidy
- Help with budgeting in your chalet and provide weekly accounts
- Clear rubbish and collect bottles from the chalet daily
- Be flexible and able to work efficiently under pressure
During the season you may be required to take part in additional tasks/duties to ensure that the operation is always running efficiently (tasks may include snow clearing, cleaning, driving etc.)
Essential Requirements
- Experience cooking for large groups
- Confident cooking for different dietary requirements
- Desire and passion to develop your cooking experience
- Available for the whole season – ASAP until the end of April
- Full drivers’ licence (desired)
- EU passport holder (Schengen area)
