Looking for more than just a winter job? Want to develop your cooking skills, work with a brilliant team, and get out into the mountains ? Come spend the ski season with us at Local Morzine —a lively sports bar and gastropub in the heart of one of the most iconic ski towns in the French Alps.
We’re looking for a kitchen assistant to help us through the winter. This position is ideal for someone who has already experienced life in the kitchen but wants to get their hands dirty—from KP to prep to plate—and learn along the way.
What you will do:
- Support our leaders during busy services (and there will be busy ones!).
- Prep, clean, prepare dishes – help the kitchen run like clockwork.
- You will be required to work in different sections and develop your skills.
- Staying calm under pressure
- Ensure everything is clean, safe and compliant with HACCP standards.
- Bring good energy, a sense of humor and a love of food.
What we are looking for:
- Previous cooking experience (ideally in a gastropub or brasserie-type setting) .
- A passion for food and a genuine interest in learning more.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask
- A calm and enterprising attitude (with a good dose of humor)
- Respect for hygiene and safety (non-negotiable)
- The right to work in France is a major asset – but we can help obtain a visa for the right person.

Salary and details:
- French contract with a competitive monthly salary.
