Tour guide/Onshore host for Luxury Private Barge in France

Belmond France is looking for Tour Guides/Drivers for their luxury hotel barges. Spend the summer of 2023 working on a luxury barge and enjoy beautiful France!

Please note that you need to have a valid European passport (Schengen) to be able to apply for this job.

Scope and Purpose:

  • To deliver guests an appropriately informative and interesting program of guided
    visits and experiences throughout the region during their stay.
  • To ensure that guests are transported to these destinations in a safe and comfortable manner.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating, planning and delivering all visits and experiences as detailed on the published itineraries. To be prepared to offer interesting and well researched alternatives to suit guest interests and preferences.
  • To be responsible for the good maintenance and careful driving, maneuvering and parking of the mini bus at all times With the exterior and interior of the bus to be immaculately presented at all times.
  • To support the provisioning of the boat of all onboard supplies and equipment as and when required.
  • To select, present and serve wine at dinner and late bar as per onboard rota.
  • To undertake the onboard administrator duties. Including and not limited to completing weekly accounting tasks, end of week cruise reports and general administrative duties.
  • Acting as a host, communicating and interacting with guests regularly in a friendly and professional manner.

 

Requirements to Employment: 

  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Clean B driver’s license (car license).
  • In possession of a European passport (Schengen).

 

Other Information:

  • For this role, the candidate will work 6 days per week with 24 hours of rest between cruises.
  • Paid holiday and recuperation time throughout the season.
