Are you a couple looking to work for a small fun & friendly Meribel ski company?
You will be located in the outstanding ski resort of Meribel, 3 Valleys, France the largest ski area in the world. We are a small independently run ski business that places great value on our staff and customers. We employ couples to run each of our six chalets. One of you would be the Chalet Chef, with work experience in a professional kitchen and therefore able to cook confidently to a high standard. The other would be the Chalet Host and be the ‘Front of House’ role.
As a pair (Chalet Chef & Chalet host) you will run and manage your individual chalet and it is equally as important you get on well with people.
The role involves:
- Offering warm hospitality and looking after guests during their stay.
- Creating a weekly, menu plan to include breakfast with cooked option, afternoon tea with homemade cakes and a 3-course evening meal, 5 days a week.
- Preparing, laying out, plating up and clearing all meals.
- Cleaning on 4 mornings plus 1 day of changeover clean, preparing for the arrival of new guests.
- Cleaning and maintaining the hot tub.
- Weekly stock takes and shopping for food according to budget.
- Maintaining and observing all hygiene standards
- A love of entertaining, passion for food, and ability to cook is essential, plus have great interaction with your chalet clients.
It is very important that you can confidently & professionally run the chalet, produce great quality food and have a warm, friendly & flexible approach to our clients.
Our personal appreciation of our Ski Blanc staff creates a friendly and close-knit team with many staff returning to work for several seasons.
Requirements
- It is essential you hold a European or Irish Passport.
- A love of food and previous experience in the catering and hospitality industry.
- Ability to work under your own initiative.
- High standard of personal presentation and cleanliness.
- Warm and outgoing personality
- Active and in excellent health.
Please note that we only employ couples, whereby you run the chalet with your partner, we do not employ individuals and ‘pair’ up with another single applicant.
