Nationals of certain countries can visit Taiwan for up to three
months without a visa but will need to be granted a work visa or permit
to take up
employment.

Nationalities of the following countries are issued a 30 day
visa on arrival in Taiwan:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic
of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands
, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K.
and U.S.A.
Nationals of from countries not mentioned above will need to
apply for visa before visiting Taiwan
Visitor Visas can be applied for at your nearest Embassy
or Consulate of Taiwan and allow stays in
Taiwan for up sixty or ninety days. Application forms can be downloaded from The

work or study in Taiwan you should check with the Embassy regarding visa requirements.

Taiwan has a reciprocal working holiday agreement with Australia and has
signed a one year working holiday agreement with New Zealand but this has
