Citizens of European (EEA) Member Countries are able to live and work in Greece without
a visa or work permit.
If You Are From A Country That Is Not
A European (EU) Member Country You Must Obtain A Work Visa Or Permit
To Work In Greece
Greece welcomes all citizens from the new EU Member countries (Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia Lithuania, Latvia and Poland) by giving them equal rights of residence and employment as other EU citizens, in accordance with the principle of the free movement of workers
Greece is a member of the Schengen countries. The 15 Schengen
countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland,
Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
With a Schengen visa, you may enter one country and travel freely throughout
the Schengen zone.
Schengen Visa Information
Nationals of certain countries can visit Greece for up to three
months without a visa but will need to be granted a work permit or visa to
take up employment.
Passport holders from the following countries do not need a
visa to visit Greece or other Schengen countries: Andorra, Argentina, Australia,
Bolivia, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador,
Guatemala, Honduras. Israel, Japan, Republic Of Korea, Liechtenstein, Malaysia,
Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaraqua, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino,
Singapore, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican and Venezuella.
Nationals of countries not mentioned above will need a visa
to visit Greece

Greece doesn't currently have any working holiday agreements
with other countries however Australia and Greece are currently negotiating working holiday arrangements.
