Germany Visa Information

Citizens of European (EEA) Member Countries are able to live and work in Germany without a visa or work permit.

Non EU nationals wishing to live and work in Germany must apply for a work permit and residence permit.

A Working Holiday Visa is available to citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Canada And Japan.

There are no work visa or permit restrictions in Germany for voluntary work.

Germany is a member of the Schengen countries. The 15 Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. With a Schengen visa, you may enter one country and travel freely throughout the Schengen zone.
