Working Holiday
Visas: Australia has reciprocal Working Holiday maker
arrangements in effect with the United Kingdom, Canada, Chile, the Netherlands, Japan,
Republic of Ireland, Republic of Korea, Malta, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway,
the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic
of China, Finland, the Republic of Cyprus, France, and Italy, Belgium, Estonia
and Taiwan.

Government Office to see if to see if arrangements have been established with
your country.
To be eligible for a working
holiday visa you must:
* Hold a valid passport
of an agreement country
* Aged between 18
and 30 years ( inclusive) at time of application
*
Not be accompanied by dependent children
*
Have not previously entered Australia on a working holiday visa

of Australia at the time the visa is granted
As
a working holiday maker you are permitted a stay of 12 months from the date of
entry to Australia. You are permitted to any kind of work of a temporary or casual
nature. As the main purpose of you visit is work and travel work with one employer
for a period of more than 3 months is not permitted and you should not work for
the full period of your stay.
As of November 2005 Those that spend at least
3months of that year doing rural, seasonal work in Australia will be able to
apply for a second 1 year visa.
Australia has signed a Work and Holiday visa agreement with Iran. It allows tertiary educated people from Iran aged 18 to 30 years inclusive to have an extended holiday of up to 12 months in Australia. This visa will allow you to supplement your travel funds through temporary employment.
Most countries under this visa programme have an annual limit of 100 Work and Holiday visas per year.
Australia has signed Work and Holiday visa arrangements with Turkey and Bangladesh. These arrangements are not yet in effect, therefore, it is not possible for people from Bangladesh and Turkey to apply for this visa yet.
