Summer Isles Hotel North West Scotland Are Currently Recruiting For Chefs And General Assistants

We are a small, excellent hotel set in a unique landscape of sea, hills, and islands on the far North-West Coast of Scotland. Our restaurant has offered excellent cuisine the last 25 years and boasted a Michelin Star for 13 years. We won the Highlands and Islands Restaurant of the year for 2011 and we are proud to boast the fact that we are the Scottish Hospitality employer for 2011….

This season commences 3rd April 2012 through to 31st October 2012 applicants must be available from the 23rd of March - prior to our opening date. This is essential as it is to be a training week.
Positions Available:

General Assistants - To carry out a range of duties which will include restaurant service. kitchen porter, housekeeping, and bar work etc. Experience preferable, but not essential. However, initiative, common sense, a willingness to get one’s hands dirty and a great sense of humour is imperative, as is the desire to learn and develop, to safeguard the excellent reputation of the hotel.

Chefs – We are looking for a Sous Chef and a Bar Chef to assist the Head Chef. Costing menus, Be inventive and cover the Head Chefs days off. Thinking out of the box would be an advantage. We run a fine dining restaurant and a busy gastro pub – so both ends of the spectrum. A challenging position with great scope.
