Instructor Roles

Activity Instructor / Group Leader The most popular job at PGL! If you're full of energy then this is the role for you: combining instructing and group leading, you'll lead activity sessions, organise evening entertainments and ensure your group enjoys the best stay possible.

Canoe Instructor Get paid for doing what you love - share your passion for paddling with our guests, leading taster sessions or river descents, in either Southern France or Spain. Fantastic UKCC training and qualification opportunities available.

Kayak Instructor Share your passion for paddling with our young guests! Opportunities exist throughout Southern France and Spain for part or fully qualified UKCC kayakers.

Lifeguard/Activity Instructor Opportunities for qualified pool and beach lifeguards in the UK and France. Combine your time with instructing our core activities

Paddlesports / Activity Instructor Combine your passion for paddling with leading land-based activity sessions at our UK centres.

Sailing Instructor Introduce our guests to the basics of sailing in Southern France and Spain. Excellent RYA training and development opportunities

Surfing/Activity Instructor Take to the North Devon surf with guests staying at our Beam House centre, near Westward Ho! and a short drive from some of the UK's best surfing beaches.

Windsurf Instructor If you are more at home on a windsurf board than sat behind a desk; this role could be for you. You'll have the opportunity teach children the basics of learning how to windsurf at some of the most stunning sun soaked locations.

Catering Roles

Catering Assistant Help to prepare and serve meals for our guests. Fantastic training opportunities available - no previous experience is required! Many of our Head Chefs joined us in this role, progressing on our Apprenticeship programme.

Chef Providing first class nutritional meals for our guests and staff team is no easy task, especially when you realise at some centres this could involve the preparation and serving of more than 3,000 meals a day!

Head Chef (Overseas) Take charge of the catering operation at our centres in France and Spain, heading up a team of Chefs and Catering Assistants and preparing meals for our guests. 

Head Chef (UK) Our Head Chefs are responsible for the overall on-site catering provision of their centre, ensuring that the catering team are producing nutritional, varied, balanced and tasty meals.

Hospitality And Maintenance Roles

Driver / General Assistant We have roles for Drivers in the UK and also abroad on a seasonal basis - includes general driving duties such as running errands, moving equipment and transporting staff.

General Assistant Combining several different roles on a rota basis, General Assistants take responsibility for the presentation of the centre and the organisation, storage, issue and care of all PGL's activity equipment.

Groundsperson Taking responsibility for the presentation of the centre, the Groundsperson role is vital to ensuring the appearance of our centres exceeds our guests' expectations.

Housekeeping Assistant As well as amazing activities and fantastic food, our guests have come to expect market leading accommodation. Our Housekeeping Teams prepare and maintain accommodation and communal areas to create a great first impression for our guests. 

Maintenance Assistant Keeping on top of things when there are hundreds of children passing through your centre week after week is certainly a challenge.  You could be painting rooms, building fences, fixing leaky taps and changing plugs...all in the same day!

Retail Assistant Things have moved on from lunchtime 'tuck shops!' Our retails outlets are professionally run, branded operations. From stock taking to stacking and scanning to serving, this role would suit people with previous retail experience.

Security Assistant Guest safety is always at the forefront of our minds. Our Security Assistants ensure that people and deliveries on centre are properly checked in. With a pleasant and welcoming smile, you'll make sure that the centre is safe and secure 24 hours a day.

Language Roles

Group Co-ordinator Combine leading study tours for visiting schoolgroups around North East France with organising evening activities and general hospitality duties.

Language Representative Build on and perfect your language skills at our Château in Normandy! You'll deliver a mixture of classroom and practical language lessons, plus take your group on excursions to the local area and deliver our core land-based activities.

Tour Leader You'll guide and inspire our guests as they indulge themselves in another culture. From historic Parisian landmarks to rustic markets, you'll accompany visiting school groups on excursions to famous places of interest.
