Childcare Jobs

Many jobs are available to those who wish to experience another culture as Au-Pairs, Nannies and Mothers Help. These jobs are usually live-in and sometimes offer the use of a car.

Young women and increasingly young men can arrange to live with a family and look after their children. Duties can include some driving, cleaning and cooking, depending on the position.

Jobs in childcare are also available for holiday and ski companies in resort creches.

Languages are not essential but a basic knowledge of your host family or country's language is always useful.

Experience required varies from babysitting experience to formal childcare training qualifications. References will usually be required for childcare positions.
