Positions are available with Activity Centres, Outdoor Pursuits Centres, Camping Tour Operators, Children's Clubs, Summer Camps and Language Schools. Jobs range from Leaders & Guides, Lifeguards, Monitors, Counsellors, Couriers through to Qualified Instructors & Counsellors.

Candidates must be confident, active, adaptable and have a good sense of humour. Language skills are always an advantage but not essential. Hours are long and the work is hard but rewarding with the possibility of gaining new skills and qualifications in many fields. Board & Lodging are usually provided for a prearranged deduction from wages and you get access to activities & equipment in your leisure time.

PGL are an large employer in this industry, they recruit staff in a variety of roles and locations including as Activity Instructors, Watersports Instructors, Children’s Group Leaders, Field Studies Instructors, Catering Staff, Housekeeping Staff, Drivers, French-speaking roles, Administrators each year.

Qualifications aren’t required for many roles: energy, enthusiasm, maturity and an ability to relate to and communicate with young people is more important. We offer comprehensive training for all of our roles, including the chance to earn while you learn with nationally-recognised Apprenticeship programmes.

Positions are available to start from January. You choose the length of time you work for, from as little as twelve weeks, to the full season (until October or November)
