Volunteers Needed To Teach English In Nepali Schools

This is a great opportunity for volunteers who want to Teach English in schools. The goal of this program is to give Nepali children a chance to improve their English language and writing skills. Nowadays mastering English is a must-have in order to obtain a job in Kathmandu and other large cities.

Volunteer Responsabilities/Activities

In this program volunteers are placed in governmental and community schools to teach English. Some schools provide text books that you may follow but initiatives are always greatly welcome. We highly encourage volunteers to bring their own materials such as songs, stories… You may be working with a Nepali teacher or manage the class on your own. Let us know what your preference is prior to joining us.

You will be working 4-5 hours a day and 5 per week. Our programs are very flexible so you will always be able to create your own schedule with the approval of the school management.

Project Location

There are many schools in Nepal and we can arrange a placement in the place of your choice. Most of our volunteers stay in large cities such as Kathmandu, Pokhara or Chitwan. If you would like to be completely immersed in the Nepali culture we can arrange a placement in small villages.

Project Skills Required

No skills and qualifications are required. However you must be able to speak English.
