Churchtown Flower Farm On The Isles Of Scilly Are Recruiting NOW and are looking for 1 person to work in the farm office and packing shed to start ASAP
Come and work on the beautiful Isles of Scilly just off the coast of Cornwall.
We are a very successful, family run flower farm growing scented flowers and sending them direct to our customers through the post all year round. The farm is on the Island of St Martin’s, there is a permanent population of 110, one pub and a shop. So you must be happy to live in a small but very friendly isolated community.
There are about 18 people working at the farm growing and packing flowers and processing orders. The farm works very much as a team with everybody working together to get the job done and because of this there is good job variety.
The majority of people who have worked at Churchtown in the past have either extended their contracts, come back to work another season or even settled here!

We are looking for:
A person who can be quite flexible in their roles depending on where they are needed to work on the farm.
You will be working mainly in the office and shed your potential main roles will be:
a) taking orders for flowers over the phone and processing orders, therefore you must be totally fluent in English and have GCSE English Language grade C+ or equivalent.
b) working in the packing shed processing flowers and packing flower orders.
c) helping with the cleaning of 2 high quality holiday lets and the associated laundry.
You will be expected to work 39-44hr a week over 5-5.5 days and your pay will be £5.58/hr including the provision of accommodation in a shared house. Your initial contract will be for 6 months but there is scope for this to be extended.
